The Corbett National Park is one of the most well-protected wildlife sanctuaries in India. Besides the Bengal tigers, it aims to protect two other terrestrial flagship species. It includes: the great one-horned rhinoceros and the Asian elephant. The good thing is that since the establishment of the park the number of all the three species have grown. Elephants are easily spotted; among all three they have the highest population. Tigers are still rare and spotting them takes some luck. However, if one visits the place at right time and the right area their chances of spotting one rises. Travel gurus advice visiting the Dhikala zone during April to mid-June. Dhikala is one of the six zones into which the park is divided. It has the largest concentration of wild animals hence, is the most popular area of the park. However, it opens for specific time-window, 15th November to 15th June. The other zones remain open yearlong.jim corbett safari tour
